Mission:                     Formation of the Students of Theology
                                   Educational Apostolate

Inception and Development
As the missionary activites spread to the northeast India, the need was felt to provide inculturated formation for students in the area where they would later render missionary service. Thus Theology study house, Claret Villa was started in Mawlai Mawstiar. The first batch of four students reached the Seminary with Frs. George Vanchipurackal and Thomas Thoompilputhenpurayil in July 1986. Most Rev. Hubert D Rosario, Archbishop of Shillong, inaugurated the House on 24 October 1986.

Formation of the Students of Theology
Since there was a regular inflow of the students for Theology every year, there was a need for a bigger house. Hence a plot of land (1.25 acres) was bought at Mawlai Kenton Maser on 18 December 1988 and a house was built under the leadership of Fr. Mathew Ezholithakadiel. Most Rev. Hubert Rosario blessed the new house on 7 May 1992. Students go to Oriens College for their Theology classes.
From 2001 onwards Claret Villa also serves as the office of the Dependent Delegation of North East India.
