Pastoral Ministry
All Saints’ Church was built in 1992 under the supervision of Fr. Jose Thenpillil. The DSFS (Daughters of St Francis De Sales) sisters joined the mission later in 1994. They are involved in village visits, and they run a dispensary, manage the hostel for girls and also assist in the school. The mission has about 55 Catholic villages with over 4000 Catholics in its care. The parish spreads over an area of about 45 sq. kms
.
This mission is one of the most interior ones with no proper transportation and communication facilities. One side of this mission is the Bangaldesh border and the reserve forest surrounds the other three sides. The place is also prone to attacks from the militants, wild animals including elephants and the disease of Malaria. Despite these difficulties the missionaries work zealously with the cooperation and the goodwill of the the people.
