Pastoral Ministry
The Ministry of the Word takes primary place in our life and mission. Claretians have taken up rural parishes as a primary locus to reach out to the poor and the marginalized. Apart from the traditional parish services like the administration of the sacraments, family visits, camps and spiritual exercises, we foster:
- Promotion of lay leadership in our pastoral and social apostolate
- Involvement, education and formation of the youth
- Programs for family welfare
- Special attention and care for the poor and the marginalized
- Programs to make Christ known to those who have not heard of Him
- Economic and social empowerment of the people through self-help programs such as self-employment schemes, cooperatives etc.
